This race paddleboard model isn’t a souvenir

It’s a distilled version of my approach: reclaimed materials, natural textures, precision,

the idea that art can be functional — and that luxury can be sustainable.

I took scraps that would normally be discarded and brought them far beyond their origin.

It’s a miniature, built with the same discipline and intention as a full-scale board.

While working on the design of my next board, I noticed a parallel with Lewis’s approach: obsession with detail, belief in craft, and moving forward without shortcuts. That led me to the design, inspired by Lewis’s F1 story – the halo-shaped recess, the seven golden stripes, and the chequered flag woven into the fore and aft blocks.

Shortly after that, the idea of a whole collection unfolded almost immediately. A sustainable collection of race paddleboards, where each board is envisioned as a unique piece of functional art and responsible luxury.

I’d even go beyond sustainable. I’d aim for carbon-positive.
Plantation-grown wood and bio-based resins at its core;
reclaimed timber, re-melted or upcycled brass, copper, and aluminum for hardware and inserts;
hemp and flax fabrics to bring it alltogether.

I’m a maker. That’s what I do best – long hours of focused handwork where every line has intention.

I’m not aiming for the media side.

My interest is in making something at a level that’s hard to replicate. What happens next — whether it becomes a collector’s piece, an internal project, or a special drop — is entirely up to you.

If this resonates, I can build a full-scale, fully functional board in this spirit, or a limited collection where each board has its own character and accent.

If this speaks to you, let’s talk.

My name is Dmitry, and for the last 8 years I’ve been building custom wooden paddleboards.
